The most difficult sacrifice I’ve made from running a business is the present. I grew up knowing exactly what it meant to be present, and how to live in it. Harnessing an entrepreneurial mindset has moved me into constantly thinking about the future. What’s the next problem to solve? What’s the next decision to make? I’ll lie awake at night with anxiety or excitement about what’s to come. I know that for long term sustainability I’ll have to find the present again. I can’t wait to mature in my work life mish-mash balance and have the ability to both remain present and develop strategy. 2018 has had large ebbs and flows of momentum and feeling stuck. Each stuck moment has ended with a surprisingly clear path to take. I’m ready to take the colder months to be present, reengage, and prepare 2019 to be my most focused, balanced, and creative year yet. I love learning lessons the hard way! | photo by @paulnemirahcollins | #canopycrew (at Red River Gorgeous)
